Justin Allgaier

Justin Allgaier, driver of the No. 7 Hellmann's/Dollar General Literacy Foundation Chevrolet, rallied back from a late-race battery change to earn a hard-fought top-10 finish on Saturday afternoon in the NASCAR Xfinity Series event at Nashville Superspeedway, taking the checkered flag in eighth. Allgaier, who scored valuable stage points at the conclusion of both Stage One and Two, charged through the field over the final 48 laps, improving 21 positions to secure his fourth top-10 finish in the last five NXS events dating back to his runner-up finish at Portland last month. With today's run, the JR Motorsports driver remains third in the NXS standings, just 48 markers out of the series lead heading into next weekend's event on the streets of Chicago.

"What a fight we showed today with our Hellmann's/Dollar General Literacy Foundation Chevrolet. To be able to rebound like we did In just that small number of laps really shows how hard everyone on this No. 7 team fights week in and week out. It's unfortunate that we had some issues with our battery, but it is definitely a good feeling to come away from here with a solid finish."

Sam Mayer

Sam Mayer, driver of the No. 1 Huck's Market Chevrolet, fought hard in the Nashville heat for a 10^th-place finish in Saturday’s Tennessee Lottery 250. Mayer had a solid run at Nashville Superspeedway as he battled to stay in the top 10 for the majority of the 188-lap event. The young driver earned his ninth top-10 finish of the season, as the Huck's Market Chevrolet had great balance overall throughout the race. The top-10 finish allowed the 21-year-old Mayer to maintain 10^th place in the NASCAR Xfinity Series point standings after 17 races.

"We had a really great Huck's Market Chevrolet today. The heat was for sure a challenge but this No. 1 JR Motorsports team never gave up today and I am so proud of these guys each and every week for giving me fast race cars and the continuous effort. I am looking forward to Chicago next weekend for a change of pace and hopefully have a better stop this year on the street course."

Carson Kvapil

Carson Kvapil made his first attempt at the concrete oval at Nashville Superspeedway on Saturday in the Tennessee Lottery 250 for NASCAR Xfinity Series cars and earned a 12^th-place finish on the 1.33-mile layout. Despite the sweltering heat and the unfamiliar surroundings, the 21-year-old navigated from 30^th position at the start to a 12^th-place finish. In the final stage, Kvapil raced into the top 10 at lap 129 and pitted on lap 138 following a caution. The Clarience Technologies pit crew gained seven positions on the stop, putting Kvapil back out in 13^th and Kvapil battled to 12^th over the remaining laps, dueling with teammates Justin Allgaier and Brandon Jones.

"It was so hot out there today. It was another good run for the Clarience Technologies Chevrolet team. We learned a lot over the first two stages and I was able to put that to use in the final segment. It was really tricky grip-wise and you had to really be on your toes, but all in all, it was a good race. Thanks to Andrew (crew chief Andrew Overstreet) and the pit crew, especially on that last stop.”

Brandon Jones

Brandon Jones, driver of the No. 9 Menards/BestAir Chevrolet, took the green flag in the 13^th position for Saturday's 250-mile feature at Nashville Superspeedway. Jones made quick work of the field and found his way into the top 10 within the first five laps. Keeping that momentum, he continued to advance through the remainder of the stage, taking the green-and-white-checkered flag in third, earning valuable stage points. A quick stop on pit road during the stage break allowed Jones to gain one additional spot and start Stage Two on the outside of the leader. Even while battling a changing track, due to high temperatures, Jones was able to maintain his top-10 position throughout the second stage. An incident on pit road forced Jones to restart the Final Stage in 24^th, but he was able to work his way back towards the front, ultimately taking the checkered flag in the 13^th position.

"It was nice to practice and qualify for the first time in a few weeks because it gave us the opportunity to put the best Menards/BestAir Chevrolet possible out on the track. We had the speed to be in the top-10 all day, but made a few mistakes that definitely hurt us. We are going to look back and see what we can do to come back stronger and be ready next weekend for Chicago."

Sammy Smith

Sammy Smith, in the No 8 Pilot Flying J Chevrolet, started off an extremely hot weekend by qualifying 12^th for the Tennessee Lottery 250 NASCAR Xfinity Series event. The extreme heat caused issues with grip as most of the field experienced loose conditions. Smith told spotter Tyler Monn that he was going to move around a bit on the track to find the best line. As he searched for a quicker line around the 1.33-mile speedway, it appeared that the original line was best until he could come to pit road for adjustments. Early in the final stage, Smith was forced to make an unscheduled pit stop under green-flag conditions for four tires and fuel, losing a lap to the leaders in the process. The team continued to fight loose conditions for the remainder of the race, eventually finishing 30^th.

"It was an unbelievably hot weekend in Nashville. I'm proud of my guys for the car they brought to the track and for their effort all weekend despite the conditions. We had a few setbacks and I hate it for the No. 8 Pilot Flying J Chevrolet, but I know we'll bring it full-circle soon. I’m looking forward to taking Allstate Peterbilt Group to the track for the first time this year as we head to Chicago."
