Carson Kvapil’s first NASCAR Xfinity Series season has been a solid success, with three top-fives in four starts this year. This weekend, the 21-year-old will take his No. 88 Clarience Technologies Chevrolet to the Music City.

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (June 25, 2024) -- Carson Kvapil's first NASCAR Xfinity Series season has been nothing short of a solid success, with three top-five finishes in four starts so far this year.

This weekend, the 21-year-old second-generation driver will add another race to his debut season as he will take his No. 88 Clarience Technologies Chevrolet to the Music City for the Tennessee Lottery 250.

"It's going to be cool to go to Nashville this weekend with this No. 88 Clarience Technologies team," Kvapil said. "We've had some really good runs so far, been really competitive and had some opportunities to win races at Dover and New Hampshire, and I feel like we can do it again at Nashville."

With a brilliant debut in April at Martinsville Speedway that put him fourth at the finish, Kvapil went to Dover and was nipped at the finish by Ryan Truex in the final laps on the way to a runner-up result. At Darlington Raceway, Kvapil finished 19th after learning why they call the legendary track The Lady in Black.

Last weekend at New Hampshire, Kvapil led near the end and was in the mix for the victory, but a loose condition stalled his run and he finished fifth.

"The biggest thing is, he's just learning how to race these races," said crew chief Andrew Overstreet. "We've put him in position in three of the four races where he's racing for the win and being around these guys on late restarts. Yeah, he makes mistakes, but he's learning from them and learning how to get better."

Nashville's concrete layout has Kvapil eager to get to the 1.33-mile concrete oval, Overstreet said.

"Nashville's been the one place in prepping on the simulator that he's been excited about, because it races a lot like a short track," he said. "You use a lot of brake and it's fast. He's had success at Dover and at Bristol last year in the Truck, both concrete tracks, so he's excited for it. This No. 88 team ran top-five at Nashville last year until we got caught up in a wreck. We're excited as a group to have him go there with a lot of confidence. We'll try to make the most of it."
