MOORESVILLE, N.C. (June 26, 2024) – The two-car JR Motorsports team of Kaden Honeycutt and Briar LaPradd faced similar issues in Tuesday night’s eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series event at the virtual Nashville Superspeedway and by the time the checkered flag waved over the field, the teammates earned 12th- and 27th-place finishes, respectively. (Watch the full race).

Honeycutt, driving the familiar FilterTime Chevrolet, qualified sixth for the 100-lap grind and spent the opening laps maintaining position in the top seven. Following a restart after a caution on lap 13, Honeycutt was moving forward when he was involved in a dust-up ahead of him, dropping a spot to eighth.

Staying on the track, the Texan ran long before making his pit stop at lap 75, where he took two tires and fuel to the end. Emerging in 25th position, Honeycutt drove through the field to 13th at the checkered flag.

LaPradd started 14th in his Ledford Billiard Supply/Race Face Digital Camaro and stayed there through the opening flurry. The native Tennessean drove through a crash on the backstretch that did not draw a caution flag and by lap 30 had moved up to 16th.

The handle started to go away on the No. 88 at that point and he faded to 22nd. Staying out in hopes of gaining track position, LaPradd did not get the hoped-for stoppage and came to pit road at lap 75 with Honeycutt, taking two tires and fuel. Over the remaining laps, he gained three positions from 30th to finish 27th.

Tucker Minter won the race over Parker White, with Seth DeMerchant, Michael Cosey Jr. and Vicente Salas rounding out the top five.

In the team standings, the two-car JRM squad remained in eighth position, 132 behind the leaders. Honeycutt is now seventh in driver points, 87 points off the lead, while LaPradd fell to 23rd , 157 markers behind.

The eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series will be on short time this week as the next race is set for July 2 at the virtual Chicago Street Course.

Kaden Honeycutt, driver No. 8 FilterTime JR Motorsports Chevrolet team

"Started in a pretty good spot in sixth and ran around the top 10 for the whole race. We decided to make a bold strategy call for our FilterTime Camaro by staying out long until lap 75, 20 laps past everyone else. We took two tires and drove from 27th to 12th in 25 laps. We're still in a good spot in points to make the Playoffs, but it's going to take a win to make it in."

Briar LaPradd, driver No. 88 Ledford Billiard Supply/Race Face Digital JR Motorsports Chevrolet team

"We qualified a lot better, putting our Ledford Billiard Supply Chevrolet in 14th, and that gave us something to work with. We had an early yellow, but after that the race went green all the way to the checkered, which was surprising. We ran 15th and our long-run pace slowly fell off compared to others. We tried to stay out during green-flag pit stops and hoped for a yellow, but we didn't get that and ended up 27th. Another rough finish after starting the year off really strong. Hope we can turn it around soon!"
